WARNER CENTER HILTON

Land Use and Development

When the designated developer for the Warner Center Hilton ran into financed opposition from a competing hotel, The Afriat Consulting Group was brought in to secure Council approval for the project. After ACG took over the lobbying, the 326 room hotel was approved by the City Council with strong support from the local councilmember.  In a surprise move, the Mayor vetoed the approval. Not to be deterred, ACG swung into action again and achieved a rare override of the Mayor’s veto on a 13-2 vote in what the L.A. Times called “The battle of Woodland Hills.”
