JEFFREY PRANG FOR LA COUNTY ASSESSOR

Campaign & Political Consulting

Pitted against a top-ranking Deputy to the Los Angeles County District Attorney, Jeffrey Prang enlisted the Afriat Consulting Group to build a broad and diverse coalition of supporters to elect him as the 27th Assessor of Los Angeles County in 2014. Prang, a former West Hollywood Mayor, had employed the services of ACG in all of his previous campaigns, all of which were victorious, and as his trusted consultants he enlisted our services once again, this time to help elect him to an office representing the 10 million Angelinos of Los Angeles County. The Office of the Assessor is the largest local public assessment agency in the nation, with over 1,400 employees and an annual budget of $160 million, with responsibility for assessing more than $1.6 trillion in real estate. At the time of the election, the Assessor’s Office was under intense media scrutiny as the result of a corruption scandal. The race for Assessor, which usually garnered little attention with voters, was the most contentious and scrutinized for the office in decades. Thanks in part to a strong early start to his campaign, which included winning dozens of endorsements from leaders and organizations; Prang was able to generate a significant fundraising advantage over his opponents. ACG engaged stakeholders, cultivated endorsements, strategically placed the candidate on slates and designed a comprehensive mail program which enabled the campaign to focus on delivering Prang’s exceptional and professional public service message to voters. On Election Day, ACG had once again delivered Prang to victory.
