Aaron Green, one of Los Angeles’ most respected political advocates, serves as the President of the Afriat Consulting Group. With extensive relationships and expertise in the political arena, he is one of the firm’s primary conduits to many municipalities across Southern California, including the City and County of Los Angeles as well as the City of West Hollywood. He provides ACG’s clients with access to elected officials, their staff and to senior-level public agency personnel. He serves as a trusted advisor to many of the region’s leading decision-makers. Aaron is a seasoned expert when it comes to navigating the networks of public agencies; he provides clients with the tools to achieve their objectives in a timely and predictable manner.

Aaron’s responsibilities include providing outreach and campaign support to ACG’s clients. His extensive relationships with community, business, environmental and labor leaders across the region enable him to build broad coalitions when advancing his client’s initiatives. Combining his significant experience in community relations, business advocacy, grass roots organizing, campaign management, social media and a network personal relationships with leading decision-makers and influencers, Aaron directs the firm’s coalition-building campaigns, which are vital components to the success of any major development or infrastructure project.  

Since joining the firm in 2009, Green has spearheaded some of the firm’s leading initiatives. Through his advocacy, community outreach and team-management expertise, the firm has entitled millions of square feet of real estate, won municipal contracts valued at hundreds of millions of dollars for the firm’s clients and guided many through the difficult process of getting legislation passed. On behalf of ACG, Aaron’s client portfolio has included IAC, Crescent Heights, JMB Realty, Expedia.com, Hard Rock Café, Marriott International, the Charles Company, MV Transportation, the Weintraub Real Estate Group and Walgreens, amongst others.

Prior to his work at Afriat Consulting, Aaron managed the advocacy and public policy department for the Valley Industry and Commerce Association (VICA), one of the preeminent business groups in Southern California. In his post Aaron was VICA’s key policy analyst and lobbyist, responsible for the political advocacy that fostered a stronger business environment in the region. He frequently testified before the Los Angeles City Council, Council Committees, the City Planning Commission and other public boards and agencies throughout the State. In the fall of 2008, Aaron was invited to present expert testimony to the full Los Angeles City Council on impact of the nation’s economic crisis on the business community. He is the primary author of several widely-cited reports, including the “VICA 50” and the “VICA 12 Solutions for a Better California”.

Before VICA, Aaron worked as an accounts and branch manager for a healthcare staffing firm based in Los Angeles, managing more than 100 external employees and providing services to many of the region’s leading healthcare providers. He has additional experience in the legal and political arenas; Aaron was a national street team tours coordinator for Rock the Vote and he interned in the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations under Vice President (then-Senator) Joseph Biden.

Aaron volunteers much of his free time to civic and political activities and has served on the boards of civic, political and non-profit organizations. He was the youngest boardmember ever elected to the board of the Child Care Resources Center, one of the state’s largest non-profit organizations, where he provided governance and oversight to the organization’s $140 million annual budget. He has been named as one of the “40 under 40” business leaders by the San Fernando Valley Business Journal. Describing Aaron, the Business Journal said simply: “Aaron Green knows politics”.

A second-generation Angelino, Aaron completed his bachelor’s degree in political science at Hamilton College in Clinton, New York. Aaron participated in study abroad programs at Oxford University and in Washington, D.C.
